Sarah Osborne

Sarah Osborne was among the first three people accused of witchcraft in Salem Village in February 1692. Osborne was a landowner embroiled in local disputes and had not attended church regularly, which set her apart from her neighbors. Her arrest, alongside Sarah Good and Tituba Indian, marked the escalation from private suspicion to public accusation in the Salem crisis.
